top resources and things we use
- yWriter7 - an amazing piece of software we've been loyal to for years, though haven't fully utilized considering we write fanfiction. however, this neat thing is amazing at organizing projects by work, chapter, and scene and displays word count, wpm after a second or two of typing, and has a bunch of sections for character, setting, or even item organization. the creator as kept it free (a bonus!) but allows support through registering your program. he's said there's no real difference between the two currently but there's a posibility for people with registered applications to become beta testers.
- Twine - a definitely known thing in the text novel or digital CYOA areas of the web, this guy does just that. twine makes it possible to create text-based games and i've tried my hand at one here. maybe i'll get back there someday.
- GSheets - we have a template here that we use for keeping track of au info
- other writing programs include: cryptee, hemmingway, focuswriter, writeas, writenext, wordcounter, cryptpad, libreoffice, obsidian, prowritingaid.
